2012 The Hyundai-Veloster

South Korea's largest automaker is on a definite roll these days, especially in North America. Despite a U.S. vehicle market that's still in recovery mode, Hyundai sales were up by sizeable double-digit percentages in the first four months of 2010, putting the brand sixth in both car and light-truck sales, behind Nissan. This surge reflects Hyundai's traditional value-for-money reputation, but also a steady stream of impressive new products such as the Genesis large sedan--a 2010 Consumer Guide Best Buy--the Ford Mustang-fighting Genesis Coupe, a redesigned 2010 Tucson compact SUV, and an all-new 2011 Sonata midsize sedan. Even older models like the Accent subcompact car and Elantra compact car are holding their own sales-wise, and will soon get their own total makeovers.
