Pricelist 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche: 4-Wheel Drive LTZ

The 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche comes with quite a few new engine options. Anyone wanting rugged performance and great fuel economy can find what they are looking for in these Vortec engines from Chevrolet.

The first major change to the 2010 Avalanche is the transmission. Chevrolet has opted to put a Hydra Matic 6L80 transmission in this model, which does away with the old 4L60 transmission found in previous incarnations. This new addition helps with fuel economy, because instead of having a four speed transmission, you now have a six speed. This addition also helps to reduce the amount of road noise heard by the passengers.

the 2012 All New Chevrolet Sonic

With the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, GM is taking its small car destiny in its own hands, bringing its Honda Fit fighter home to America--at least in terms of design and production. Unlike previous generations of the Aveo, the Sonic will be mostly homegrown.

According to a report from GM Inside News, the next-gen Chevrolet Aveo will be renamed “Sonic” when it goes on sale next year.

Word around the auto block is that Chevrolet will be scrapping the Aveo name for its next generation B-segment hatchback set to be sold next year, instead opting for a cooler-sounding name – the Chevrolet Sonic.

2012 Chevrolet Sonic is a small car, which the new car is roomy, stylish and fun to drive, and Sonic is a youthful, energetic name that helps convey what this vehicle is about.

2011 New Chevrolet-Camaro

Wind is no better. As the wind flies around the place, it whips up with it all sorts of 'goodies'. Sticks, stones and other bits of rubble get caught up in the storm and as they fly past, the scratch and dent cars. These small little nicks and dings everywhere are unsightly, and cost a pretty penny to fix up.

Last year, the new Camaro was everywhere, from the silver screen to Wal-Mart parking lots, reasserting its rightful place in American pop culture. While its cutting-edge styling and nostalgic appeal won an immediate fan base, its raw muscle and performance abilities attracted legions more. "After years of anticipation, Chevy's new Camaro not only lives up to the hype but also redefines what a muscle car can be," writes Edmunds.

The high levels of acid in today's rain means that the paintwork disintegrates in the rain. The car's exterior is left with horrible watermarks and chipped paint. It's not a very pleasant sight to behold.

The Big Three are at war, battling for the coveted title of baddest muscle car on the block. As the competition heats up, General Motors is showing no signs of backing down. For 2011, Chevrolet ups the ante with performance figures that it believes are more reflective of the Camaro’s performance abilities and, even better, a gorgeous convertible body style. The Camaro was named Motor Trend's "Car of the Year" in 2010.

Dented Wallets and Square Wheels: The 10 Worst Cars of 2010

In the age of high gas prices, hybrids and everyone supposedly going green like the government would make you think, the 2010 class of cars, SUV's and trucks took another hit this year with depreciation and upkeep costs. Just about all the top companies took a good hit in both categories of big and roomy and the supposedly fuel-efficient compact variety which is not as a big hit to people as many would tell you. Here's a listing of the worst performers of 2010 and vehicles you should avoid. These are not in any specific order. (contributed by Design 911)

Cadillac Escalade - Type: Luxury SUV

2010-Cadillac-Escalade-Hybrid-008.jpg

It's hard to say really what tipped the "experts" off on this vehicle. It did rank poorly amongst safety and value but the one statistic that really stuck out was this vehicle got top honours for the most stolen vehicle out of everything that's out there. "Pimp My Ride" apparently does not apply here.

Chevrolet Aveo - Type: Compact

Chevrolet-Aveo-front.jpg

The Chevrolet Aveo5 1LT overall value is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to even more expensive models such as the Volkswagen Golf and Honda Civic. Consumer Reports concludes that "the ride is jittery and noise is constant." . What would you expect from driving something as small as a golf cart?

Chevrolet Colorado - Type: Pickup Truck

Chevrolet_Colorado_pics.jpg
This vehicle has been rated poorly in just about in every aspect so I'm not going to waste my time telling you about it because what does matter is the fact that GM is soon doing away with this model as well as the Canyon. So, of course the best medicine would be to stay away from these models.

Dodge Nitro - Type: SUV

Dodge-Nitro-SUV.jpg

The SLT model is just another version of the Jeep Liberty but with lower marks. Consumers complained
how noisy this SUV is and how it lacks agility. There tended to be some sort of body lean which added difficulty for people steering. This would be the equivalent of pushing a baby stroller in gravel.

Ford F-250 - Type: Truck

f250-ford-truck.jpg

The 2010 Ford F-250 Lariat was ranked the worst on gas mileage getting on average just 10 mpg. This was a diesel engine model as well. Hate to see how an unleaded version would do. At this bad a rate of miles per gallon, one would think you'd have to get a bank loan just to get back and forth to work every three months.

Jeep Wrangler - Type: SUV

jeep-wranglers.png

The Unlimited Sahara was the main gripe but Jeep Wrangler overall has plummeted 23% in sales since the beginning of the year. Apparently it does well off-road but fell short when driven on-road. Handling is a challenge with vague steering and low cornering limits. It's reliability was another negative for consumers.

Chrysler Sebring - Type: Midsize

CHRYSLER_SEBRING.jpg

Car experts ridicule this unpopular gem for its cheap interior and poor performance. It is considered the worst midsize car for the money due to the high ownership costs. Its rate of depreciation is almost faster than watching paint dry.

Mercury Mountaineer - Type: SUV

Mercury_Mountaineer.JPG

Top honours for worst midsize SUV for the money, the Mountaineer (and its twin, Ford Explorer, which ranked right behind it) is truck-based. So therefore it makes it use more fuel than the competition and not something suited for city and suburban driving. If you live in this type area, the handling may cause a vein to pop out of your forehead as well.See another worst car 2010 here.

The 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche

The 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche contains all the top notch safety features including anti-skid system, all side airbags, ABS, and traction control. Auto-ride load-leveling suspension of GM is conventional on LTZ trim, but not available on base version. The other options include DVD entertainment and navigation system.

The first engine is the 5.3 liter V8 engine. This engine comes standard on all 2WD models, and produces 320 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. Its block is cast entirely out of iron, which makes it able to handle high compression ratios. An aluminum block version of this engine also exists. However, this engine has a slightly lower power rating at 310 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. Due to its smaller numbers, this engine also has increased fuel economy. A user of this engine can expect 20 miles per gallon on the highway, and 16 miles per gallon in the city.

The 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche

The first major change to the 2010 Avalanche is the transmission. Chevrolet has opted to put a Hydra Matic 6L80 transmission in this model, which does away with the old 4L60 transmission found in previous incarnations. This new addition helps with fuel economy, because instead of having a four speed transmission, you now have a six speed. This addition also helps to reduce the amount of road noise heard by the passengers.

The only engine is a 5.3-liter V8 that produces 310-hp, as the 6.0-liter V8 engine goes off the 2010 Avalanche lineup. It also designed with Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation mechanism of General Motors as well as six-speed automatic transmission. This engine has the capability to run with the help of E85 ethanol-blended fuel and has the maximum towing ability of 8100 lbs.

The 2011 Traverse is available in a few trim levels

The 2010 Chevrolet Traverse is offered with a choice of all-wheel drive as front-wheel drive. For the purpose of safety, front and curtain side airbags, traction control, ABS, and antiskid system are available as safety equipment.

Chevrolet Traverse
The direct-injected 3.6-liter V-6 delivers V-8-like power yet runs on regular unleaded gas. With available dual exhausts, its rated output swells to 288 hp and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. Direct injection sprays fuel directly into each cylinder, where it is mixed with air, then vaporizes, which cools the air/fuel mixture. That enables a higher compression ratio, which improves both performance and efficiency, so less fuel can deliver more power compared to conventional port-injection. EPA economy is better than most, and as good as any in this segment, at 24 mpg highway and 17 city with front-wheel drive (FWD) and one mpg less with available all-wheel drive (AWD).

2010 Chevy Traverse is obtaining power

Coming to the power transmissions, the 2010 Chevy Traverse is obtaining power from a 3.6-liter V6 engine that is matching to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine can produce 281 hp on both LT and LS trims, whereas 288 horsepower in the LTZ trim. The engine has also provided maximum towing of 5200 lb.

The cabin can accommodate eight adults with a 60/40-split three-passenger bench or seven with available captain's chairs. Standard third-row seating is a 60/40 bench with a generous 24.4 cu. ft. of cargo room behind it. The instrument panel, a Chevy heritage dual-cockpit design housing two large gauge binnacles surrounded by bright trim rings, is mounted low and forward to enhance visibility, with the available navigation screen prominently integrated at its upper-center.

The Chevrolet Cruze marks a about-face in the cerebration of General Motors, Chevrolet's ancestor company. Rather than authoritative some baby cars for the U.S. and others for European and Asian markets, GM is now affairs the aforementioned baby cars beyond all markets. That's acceptable account for American consumers, and account that could accept the accepted Affordable Baby Car chic leaders afraid in their tires.

The 2011 Chevrolet Aveo trails

The 2011 Chevrolet Aveo trails behind other cars in its class in most, if not all, aspects. However, it’s one of the cheapest ways to start enjoying that new-car smell. It also offers decent gas-mileage and interior space.

While the car's main selling point is its affordable price, which ranges from $12,000 to $15,000, the 2010 automobile does rate well in other aspects. Like other cars in its class, the vehicle is considered fairly safe, although additional airbags were not added despite it being a consistent recommendation.
